Hi,

I hope someone would be able to shed some light into it.

I used the .exe installation and looks like installation went fine on both my Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012.
File libs\100\com.webkingsoft.JSONSource_100.dll copied to c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\100\DTS\PipelineComponents\com.webkingsoft.JSONSource_100.dll
Gac Removed
DLL installed into the GAC.
File libs\100\Newtonsoft.Json.dll copied to c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\100\DTS\PipelineComponents\Newtonsoft.Json.dll
Gac Removed
DLL installed into the GAC.
File libs\110\com.webkingsoft.JSONSource_110.dll copied to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\110\DTS\PipelineComponents\com.webkingsoft.JSONSource_110.dll
Gac Removed
DLL installed into the GAC.
File libs\110\Newtonsoft.Json.dll copied to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\110\DTS\PipelineComponents\Newtonsoft.Json.dll
Gac Removed
DLL installed into the GAC.
I do see the both DLLs on above folders; however, i dont have the components on either of my two versions of SSIS (neither if i look for those in the "choose Toobox Items".

Any help/comments would be greatly appreciated.

Having the same issue here, any chance in the time since May you found a way to make the task appear in the SSIS toolbox?

Hi,

yeah, but it strongly depends on your system configuration. Speak of the devil, can you provide some info about your configuration, such as:
1) Operating system
2) .NET framework version(s) currently installed
3) Design tool: Visual Studio (if so, which version) OR BSID (if so, which version)
4) MS SQL Server version

Let me know,

Alberto.

Alberto,

For me, it's
1.) Win 7
2.) .NET 4.5.2 installed
3.) Visual Studio 2013 - Pro/12.0.21005.13 (with SQL Server Data Tools 12.0.30919.1)
4.) MSSQL 2014

Thanks for your help!

Sorry forgot to say my installation is up and running.

1) Win 7
2) Net 4.5.51209
3) Visual Studio 2014 Pro
4) MSSQL 2012

I cannot use the component at the moment as l require to pass headers to the application (Jira Cloud). Although l have finally managed to get a script task up and running to get the data then de-serialise it. Would much prefer a nice shiny black box if l am honest :-)

Any news on this front? I can't seem to get it installed either. Very disappointing, I'd love to use it!

I don't think anything has changed, elgabito. I think the infinitely many configurations people can have poses an issue.

However, I just ended up doing what I needed with a C# script component.

Hi guys,

unfortunately I am busy at this time. The new version has many bug fixes and should include a better installation process. Its release should have been done in Sept. 2015, but I didn't make it.
I hope to be able to release it on January 2016, using some of the holidays to complete this release.

I am very sorry to inform you that I had absoluterly no time to code the new installer.
This project is being coded in my spare time, which I haven't had in the last year.

I feel very bad for it, so I would like to apologize.

IS there a manual way of installing the extensions?

Thanks a lot.

Hi,

I am very sorry, but I still am out of time. At this point the only thing you can do is to clone the repository and proceed with manual installation. You should compile the project and install the dlls. I cannot spend time in writing such a step by step guide, I'm sorry.

It is frustrating to see how many people would enjoy by this simple component, but at the moment I have to finish my thesis and continue other projects. I hope to get back on this within a couple of months.

Good news!

New beta relase is available for manual installation. I've written a step by step guide on how to install the component. Give it a try!
